Port Douglas

Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary, a zoo where most animals are not caged.

The koala is a small bear-like, tree-dwelling, herbivorious marsupial which average about 9kg.
Its fur is thick and usually ash grey.
The koala gets his name from an ancient Aboriginal word meaning "no drink" because it receives over 90% of his hydratation from the Eucalyptus leaves it eats, and only drinks when ill or time when there is not enough moisture in the leaves.
He survives only only eating those leaves.
