Motueka - Atamai eco-village

Our friend Paul whom we travelled with for a week or so in Australia told us a lot about this eco-village. We have decided to experience some wwoofing over there.

Joni's house.
Joni is in charge of the gardens and has been a wonderful host for a week.
Yes Julie, you can be proud of your work!

The nights were cold. After work, it was time to chop some wood.

Joni is not only a great gardener, he is also a good cook.
All the vegies are from his garden, obviously.
View from our bedroom at sunset...

...and at sunrise.

We loved to get some vegetables (pumkins, leeks, onions, potatoes, letuce, carrots...) for dinner.
I also made a rhubarb crumble, maybe the best crumble I've ever made!
Ca c'est pour toi Maman!

Organic pizza from Julie.
The village's goats.

Another wonderful organic meal : a green pumkin soup.

Thank you Joni for making us feel like at home during our stay with you and for sharing your knowledge with us.
